Widmann is one of the largest blueberry producers in Romania. It currently has a 60 ha plantation.
Due to the growing labour shortage and the need to optimize costs, the company decided to automate its packing process. The client purchased a packing line with a 12-scale weigh & fill from us. The primary challenge was to understand the production process and to create a solution that would fit into the existing packing plant, while offering efficient and comfortable operation for the line operators.
As part of this project, we supplied the client with a line consisting of a 12-scale packing machine and a conveyor system transporting fruit in bulk and packed. Among other things, the design incorporated arched conveyors to ensure complete functionality of the line in a limited space.
Thanks to the packaging line delivered by our company, the client not only increased the efficiency of its packaging process, but also significantly reduced the losses caused by overweighing the product in containers. In addition, the proposed solution enabled the client to adapt the machine to the majority of packaging available on the market and to maintain the quality standards required from producers.
