A unit for sorting cranberries by size. It uses technologies that enable accurate and gentle sorting. Removes undersized fruit and debris with specially adjustable slots between belts.

The belt calibrator is a very flexible grading machinery for cranberries. Thanks to its modular design, the grading machinery easily adapts to both large and small packaging lines. A jumbo calibrator is the best solution for removing wrong-sized and undersized fruit.

AirJet® Grader

The AirJet® sorting system is the most technologically advanced cranberry grading machinery on the market.

Description:

The AirJet Blueberry Grader is the most technologically advanced cranberry grading machinery on the market. The line features three types of AirJetTM Vision high definition (HD) cameras: black and white, colour, and near infrared (NIR) cameras. The sorter captures 21 images of the fruit’s surface, which enables a very detailed inspection from any perspective. The machine enables sorting according to:

  • Size – the dimensions of each fruit are calculated based on 21 optical camera images;
  • Softness/firmness – the machine is able to separate cranberries into 5 softness categories: intended for freezing, semi-soft, semi-hard, hard, and extra-hard, allowing producers to separate fruit – during packaging – for sale to different markets and according to their individual requirements 
  • Defects – the AirJetTM Vision’s GPJ technology detects internal and external defects such as bruises, discolouration and dryness
  • Colour – the AirJet® sorting system can reject red, green and underripe fruit.

The GP Graders’ AirJet® sorts cranberries at the speed of up to 46 units per second per line, providing extremely high throughput while maintaining sorting accuracy.

The control machine is an advanced line control system based on a Siemens PLC. It makes it possible to manage the entire line from a single location using an operator panel (HMI) that has access to the diagnostics and status of each line component and continuously displays the production progress. The control machine displays the causes of stops, faults, and errors and is responsible for controlling, navigating, and monitoring the machine workflow, thus saving the operators’ time.
