Processing line for large producers

We offer nut processing lines tailored to the needs of large producers. The example line consists of a hulling line with a target capacity of up to 14 tons per hour, a nut drying system, a sorter for sizing nuts in shell, a cracker line, and a packing system for packing nuts in shell and kernels. Desticker

The Desticker uses a specialized chain with spacing that allows nuts to fall through while retaining sticks and carrying them over to the trash.

Description: 

The Desticker uses a specialized chain with spacing that allows nuts to fall through while retaining sticks and carrying them over to the trash. The Wizard Desticker comes with adjustable chain agitation that can be useful in various situations. If the product is wet and muddy, sticking together, increasing the chain agitation will break apart the clusters and cause the nuts to fall though.

The Trash Aspirator is the first aspirator in the processing line. The trash aspirator uses suction to separate light pieces of debris like leaves, grass, or small sticks from the product flow.

The Wizard Precleaner is an elevator that tumbles and agitates nuts. This tumbling cleans and loosens walnut hulls.

Float Tank

The Float Tank removes rocks from the product flow. The nuts are submerged under water and float while rocks in the product sink to the bottom.

Description:

The Float Tank removes rocks from the product flow. The nuts are submerged under water and float while rocks in the product sink to the bottom. The rocks are collected on an in-tank elevator to be removed and placed in a bin where they can be disposed of later. The good nuts then are removed from the water and are moved to the next piece of equipment.

Huller Bypass

The Huller Bypass separates the walnuts with hulls from walnuts without hulls by passing them over a vibrating deck of screens.

Description:

The Huller Bypass separates the walnuts with hulls from walnuts without hulls by passing them over a vibrating deck of screens. Nuts without hulls are more susceptible to cracking in the huller. By sending the nuts without hulls around the huller we reduce the risk of cracking those nuts greatly. The separation screens can be changed to increase or reduce the size of walnuts that are bypassed around the huller. Late in the season the bypass has the ability to completely bypass all products around the walnut huller. Because late in the season the percentage of green walnuts is very low, we can use the green nut return system to send back only the nuts that have green hulls to be hulled and washed again. This again saves every nut that doesn’t have a hull from being cracked in the huller.

The Huller removes hulls (green husks) from outside of a nut’s shell.

Description:

The Huller removes hulls (green husks) from outside of a nut’s shell. This machine is adjustable in several ways, giving it the flexibility that every customer needs. Each huller comes with an adjustable knife placement as well as adjustable drum height making it useful for every situation. The Wizard huller comes with air rams that can open the huller up for repairs and cleaning when necessary. Each huller comes with replaceable knives and brushes.

Finish Aspirator

The Finish Aspirator uses suction to separate the empty or blank nuts from the good nuts.

Description:

The Finish Aspirator uses suction to separate the empty or blank nuts from the good nuts. Nuts without meats in them are much lighter than nuts with good meats in them. When nuts are harvested there are always some nuts that are shriveled inside and our goal is to remove those to provide a premium final product. The Finish Aspirator features welded steel, reinforced ducting, and top of the line blowers and components ensure that it will provide years of trouble-free performance.

Hand Sorting Table

The hand sorting table allows workers to manually pick out any remaining cracked nuts, green nuts, black nuts, or trash.

Description:

The hand sorting table allows workers to manually pick out any remaining cracked nuts, green nuts, black nuts, or trash. The trash is directed down to the trash conveyor and the green and black nuts are sent to be sorted again. Used at the end of the line to make sure that nothing besides your nuts can get through to the drying stages. A perfect and safe way to remove the very last bit of unwanted debris in your crop.

Trash Shredder

The trash shredder is used to reduce the size of the greenline trash.

Description:

The trash shredder is used to reduce the size of the greenline trash and as a result reduce the amount of trucks or bins needed to remove the trash from the huller. By reducing the size of the trash coming out of the line we are able to fit more in each truck thus reducing the cost of trash removal. An auger system is also a valid way of storing the trash from your processing line so it can decompose and be removed later. Just by knowing the amount of product will be run by each customer we can calculate the amount of auger needed to store the processing line trash.

Our Bins are designed to maximize the cost per ton of drying storage.

Description:

Our Bins are designed to maximize the cost per ton of drying storage. Bins are available in both standard or custom sizes to suit the needs of the customer. The quantity of bins in the system depends on the customer’s required capacity.  Through a series of conveyors and EZ down chutes, nuts are placed into individual bins. Energy efficient burners, ducts, and quiet, high-quality fans blow hot air up through the bins to remove moisture.

Fans are designed to maximize power efficiency.

Fans are designed to maximize power efficiency. Burner and fan control panels are tested to ensure that they are working perfectly before sending them to the client. Fans can be delivered in two sizes depending on customer need and his requirements regarding capacity of the drying system. Wizard fans are designed to ship overseas, and two fit in a 40ft container.

Distribution Conveyor System

All Drying distribution conveyors are built to handle the wet walnuts on their way to the drying bins.

Description:

All Drying distribution conveyors are built to handle the wet walnuts on their way to the drying bins. We take into account the extra water on the nuts before they are dry and apply that to our conveyors. Our conveyors all have bottom pans to catch the water and divert it to one side where there is a drip pan to catch and dispose of the water. The Loadout Conveyors move the dry product from the bins to be loaded into trailers, bins, boxes, or other types of containers after processing.

The Stage Sizer uses vibrating plates with the different hole sizes. Its construction allows sorting of up to 10 tons of walnuts per hour.  This system is used when a customer demands high sorting capacity and different numbers of size categories. To increase the number of size categories, customers need to add a vibrating table to the existing system.
