The client is a family-owned company based in Ankum, Lower Saxony state, Germany. The family has been connected with the fruit and vegetable business since the VX century. At present, they run a blueberry farm that produces about 1400 tons of fruits per year.
More fruits, more accurate and less time – these three objectives clearly explain the plans of the Rixmann family before the start 2024 season. After a rise of production in 2023 and optimistic trends for the future, the company needed another reliable, top-notch machinery to process more fruits than ever before. That is why they invested in the second production line to rise their performance and capacity.
The cooperation of the Rixmann family and Milbor PMC has an impressive background. Both sides have collaborated since 2017, when we successfully implemented the first packing line, led by the G2 Evolution weigh & fill. It’s worth adding that it was the first implementation of G2 Evolution in the European market. This year the company trusted Milbor PMC experts once again, ordering another line featuring the newest weigh & fill manufactured by A&B Packing Equipment Inc.
Milbor PMC designed the second production line and delivered the machines to be integrated with the existing sorter and tray sealer. In particular, we provided a system including which heart was a 10-scales G3 Evolution, as well as a top and bottom labeller, making them a coherent system that secures optimal workflow during the season and unmatched performance.
As G3 Evolution rises the standards of blueberry packing, providing top speed of packing paired with great accuracy and quicker cleaning, the client was able to optimise their processes and pack 400 tons of fruits more than in 2023. Thanks to the new line, the Rixmann company was capable of handling a big order from one of the leading fruit sales companies in Germany. Apart from that, the top-end facilities and well-integrated machines allowed the grower to avoid dealing with an issue of a shrinking workforce in the German fruit and vegetable market.
