Recently, we have witnessed a growing demand for high-quality berries in Western Europe. To meet the expectations of its customers from various countries, Berrytrade relies on the most efficient fruit packaging tools. Aiming to improve the speed and accuracy of weighing, the company decided to purchase a new blueberry weigher. The old model had been in use for many years, and newer technologies available on the market offered higher weighing precision, lower failure rates, and faster operation.

We delivered a 10-head G2 weigher from A&B Packaging Automation Ltd, which we integrated with the blueberry packaging line operating at Berrytrade. The weigher was selected to be compatible with the other devices in the line, ensuring the entire system provides the client with high work efficiency.

The replacement of the weigher with the G2 Evolution was an important improvement in the blueberry packaging process for our client. The new machine is more intuitive to operate and less prone to failures than its predecessor. Another advantage of the G2 is its speed. The weigher operators at Berrytrade managed to accelerate it to a packaging speed of 130 packs of 300 g/min. Most importantly, however, the machine generates measurable profits. During the Polish blueberry season alone, Berrytrade packs approximately 1,000 tons of blueberries, and the G2 has allowed weighing errors to be reduced to 3%. In other words, thanks to the G2 Evolution, Berrytrade can sell 21 tons more fruit compared to packaging with the old weigher.

Choosing the G2 Evolution blueberry weigher was a bullseye! It allows us to earn significantly more money while being very easy to operate and practically unfailingly reliable. It is more technologically advanced than the old blueberry machine. So far, we have had only one minor failure, which the Milbor PMC service team resolved literally within a few hours of reporting. I highly appreciate the access to professional service and spare parts from the Polish warehouse.
